Every major data field on CollegeBank carries source metadata, last verification timestamps, and verification status badges.
2Legitimate Data Sourcing Standards
CollegeBank strictly pulls data from legitimate official channels including:
- Official college and university prospectuses and fee circulars
- Statutory bodies: UGC, AICTE, NMC, BCI, PCI, COA, INC
- National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) annual public disclosures
- National Testing Agency (NTA) & Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA/CSAB)
- State counselling authorities: UPTAC (AKTU), BCECEB (Bihar), JAC Delhi
- Verified institutional memoranda submitted by participating colleges
3Verification Status Definitions
Data matched directly against the latest official regulatory filing, university notification, or college fee circular.
Estimated based on previous academic year notifications pending final state fee committee gazettes.
Data flagged by our data health engine as older than 90 days or awaiting 2027 cycle confirmation.
4Placement Data Realism Standard
We do not permit displaying international or outlier domestic highest packages without prominently displaying the verified Average CTC and Median CTC along with the specific academic year of placement records (e.g. 2026-27).
5Report Discrepancies & Correction Protocol
If an institution or student identifies an updated fee structure, revised approval status, or date change, our editorial desk updates verified records within 24 hours upon receiving official documentation at contact@collegebank.in.
